This is snow tht has fallen from the carport roof and that did land on the ground but because there is a lot of snow the snow from the foor has finally meet with the snow form the ground. This can happen as well with the side of the roof of the house.
Ouch! That sort of incident spells disaster because build-up of snow may cause leaks or it weakens the whole roof. I hope it was fixed right away to avoid further structural damage. Thanks for sharing; I hope you don't experience such inconvenience like this again.
