Happy Easter to everyone. Since Last year I have waited patiently for this Easter to come as my son didn't really get the idea of what to do in "looking for the hiding eggs". This year he got more excited as he saw his own Easter bucket and the chocolate eggs on the floor leading him to his non chocolate gifts that he got this Easter. But next year I will be able to hid them all over the house and outside and he will truly understand that he has to go hunt for them.
Yes, I said gifts. You see we hardly ever get him new toys or things to play with whe n we go into town and do shopping. The only time he gets new things is on his birthday, Christmas, or Easter. Yes the odd time he will get a new book or paint or crayons but these are things he uses all the time.
So for Easter he got a 'Blue's Clues' DVD, a kids tough camera that is waterproof and the case to for it(waterproof when a drink is spilled on it) since he loves to take my $300 waterproof camera and tries to take pictures, a nice train set (as you can see from the pic) with an added school bus, a Leapfrog Leapster held hand game system and the case for it and one game that he learns how to write and draw(as he likes to play with my Nintendo WII), two books (one Blue's Clues and one by Sandra Boynton (one of my favorite kids author) and a remote control car that can flip over and still drive. As well tons of Easter eggs.
But we are also telling him about why we truly celebrate Easter as Jesus Christ rose from the dead during this special occasion.
